Billy Walker Captains Christchurch F.C. in historical FA Cup Third Qualifying match

Last night was an exciting evening for our man Billy Walker’s team Christchurch F.C.’ who played Dulwich Hamletthat play three divisions higher, in an FA Cup Third Qualifying Round match. The game was shown live on BBC iPlayer here (available for another 29 days) as well as on the red button

It was great to see Billy shine, we didn’t expect anything less! He showed the same dedication and skills on the pitch as Captain as he does on our client’s sites. The score at the end was 1-1 (1-3 after penalties)

Billy’s final analysis of the game:

I think we matched everything they had to throw at us. I felt we were the better team in large parts of the game. We conceded a sloppy goal late, but we never gave up and got a late equaliser to take it to penaltiesI felt we should have won the game in the 90 minutes. Overall, a massive experience for the players, management and Christchurch football club. We will try to get even further next year.

Danny our Contracts Manager went to support “A great effort by all in a tough game against such physical opposition for Billy and his teammates. There was a nice atmosphere at the groundand Christchurch FC were unlucky to lose on penalties but did really well to get so far in the competition!

Supporting healthy and active lifestyles

GF Electrical supports healthy and active lifestyles of all our employees, in fact, it is something we look for at the interview stage. As a physical job, it’s not only important to keep fitness levels up to avoid injuries, it almost certainly helps to improve mental health too.

Gary FisherManaging Director believes in encouraging and supporting where he can, whether it be boxing, football, paddleboarding or even walking.  “We do our best to support where we can.  We work best as a team and to get together when we can to cheer our colleagues is good for moral”
