Domestic Rewire that took place on a large property in Ringwood.
The Brief
Our original brief for this project was focused on rewiring the playroom and lounge. However, the client’s vision expanded, transforming this limited scope into a full-scale rewire of the entire property. The key to the project was the integration of a sophisticated wireless Lutron control system that would allow seamless lighting, ambiance, and automation across multiple zones.
Additionally, the property featured several specialised areas, such as a swimming pool, outdoor kitchen, gym, and lake house, each requiring dedicated power and control systems. For this project, we needed to work closely with Creative Home Cinema for AV, lighting, and sound in harmony with the client’s homelife.
Our Solution
Completed a full rewire to ensure the electrical system can support both the current needs but also the future.
We upgraded the distribution boards throughout the property to accommodate the increased demand.
Installation of the Lutron wireless system enabled the client to have central control of lighting, moods, and dimming, all managed from a single module.
The project involved 1st and 2nd fix installations, which allowed us to prepare and finalise all systems efficiently.
Power supplies were installed for the swimming pool’s air handling units, air conditioning, lighting, and pool cover controls, ensuring safety and comfort.
New cabling for garden lighting, plus assistance with wiring for outdoor AV, speakers, fibre connectivity, and Wi-Fi.
For the gym and lake house, we added speakers and strengthened fibre connections to support AV.
Complete power supplies for sockets, lighting, and other kitchen needs for the outdoor kitchen.
We carried out each phase thoroughly, communicating with all other trades on site.
We worked with Creative Home Cinema on AV systems, integrating them seamlessly into the property for cohesive indoor and outdoor entertainment. Throughout this project constant communication was needed with Creative team, the client and all trades that were involved in the full project.
Everyone worked effectively as a team, which was important to ensure this project was completed smoothly and to set deadlines.
The project began in early June 2023 and evolved as new areas were added to the scope. Despite this expansion, our team maintained an efficient timeline, delivering each phase on track to meet the client’s growing needs. Ryan, our lead Senior Electrician alongside Billy, Contracts Supervisor, oversaw all stages, ensuring our high standards and attention to detail. But it was a group effort by all that were involved, as almost every engineer and apprentice in the company, spent many hours working on this project.
As the project progressed, we went beyond the initial brief. This adaptability allowed us to exceed expectations, delivering a seamless, smart living environment. You can see from the pictures that a lot of attention to detail was required for this project.
