Witchampton F.C. is a football club based just outside of Wimborne.
The Brief
Some of our guys joined Witchampton FC, and in mid-2023 in the pre-season build up we decided to offer parts and labour as sponsorship as the clubhouse was in dire need of a refresh.
Our Solution
We started by changing the lighting throughout, old 2D lamp fittings were replaced with new Eterna LED bulkheads. As well as emergency lighting above all the exit ways as to conform with current legislation for public spaces.
There was an issue with lights being left on, so we decided to remove light switches and install new PIR’s where necessary.
The flood lighting in the car park and entry pathway needed an upgrade for those darker winter nights at training, 50W LED flood lights were chosen.
The lighting in the storage shed was changed from old halogen units to new 6ft tornado fittings which really improved functionality and appearance. We also made safe of the wiring in the workshop, tightening loose connections and re doing glands as and where appropriate.
The heaters throughout were replaced with new 2kw downflow units for the colder months and added one in the referees changing room.
We also tested the main earth and found it to be insufficient so added an additional TT stake and changed the main earth for 16mm up from 10mm.
