£1,575 Raised for Prostate Cancer UK at Charity Padel Tournament

GF Electrical Ltd is proud to announce the success of our Charity Padel Tournament, held on 1st October 2025 at Cross Court Padel, where we raised an impressive £1,575 for Prostate Cancer UK.

The event brought together employees, clients, and suppliers for an evening of friendly competition, laughter, and shared purpose – all in support of a cause that means so much to our team.

With one of our colleagues, who has been going through treatment for prostate cancer, the event was particularly meaningful and served as a reminder of the importance of awareness, early detection, and continued research.

Our event was three hours of continuous padel games over 5 courts. All the players did brilliantly, with some friendly competition and some… well it was friendly but neither team was going to let the other win easily! We had some exciting games played with passion and were great to watch.

Our final came down to our very own Gary & Billy and guests Noah Crisp & Mack Allan. What a thrilling last game, with everyone supporting and cheering the teams on. The volume as Gary went down and shouts to get back up when Billy got an amazing, unexpected return in. The two certainly gave it their all against two 20-year-old professional goal keepers! It was a good match, but the well-deserved win was 6 – 3 to Noah and Mack in the end.

Guests enjoyed fantastic food provided by Flaming Peaches, and the hospitality from Cross Court Padel made the night even more memorable. The evening’s raffle was a highlight, helping to boost the total funds raised and adding to the fun atmosphere.

The prizes were great, and we’d like to thank the generosity of:
  • Cross Court Padel: 2no free 1 hour court hire, 2no padel rackets, 2no vouchers for padel t-shirts

And for our team that won the final, thank you Brakeburn for the two Chinook Changing Robes.

We’re incredibly grateful to everyone who took part, donated, and supported the event. It was inspiring to see so many people come together for such an important cause.

All proceeds will go directly to Prostate Cancer UK, helping to fund vital research and support services for those affected by prostate cancer.

Together, we’ve shown that teamwork, both on and off the court, can make a real difference. 💙
